River Island has won countless awards for their innovative use of technology. But whilst they’re leading the way in retail, their online careers portal was lagging behind. Our challenge was to develop a careers site that wouldn’t just push boundaries but needed to carry the sentiment and culture of their brand homepage right through to the ATS.

What we did.

Low fidelity wireframes designed to identify layout and content structure for the website pages.

River process

What we achieved.

Working closely with their careers team we pushed the boundaries on the homepage, creating interesting layouts to make each section flow together to keep users engaged. With seasonal design updates, just like in the stores, there’s always something fresh and new on the careers site too.

River island home

We decided to integrate a mega menu inside the search input, surfacing popular links to help and guide users to desired content.

With the Careers Kaleidoscope self-selector, visitors can find out whether their style of working matches the River Island way.

River island about

We offered visitors an unparalleled view of River Island’s Head Office and Stores with 360° tours, allowing them to explore and engage with different areas of
 the business.

Responsive layout.

Over 70% of River Island’s employees work in store. With this audience in mind, the mobile site is made for people who are always on their feet, using their smartphone to gather information, allowing busy candidates to apply on the go.
